A bowling ball is hung from a long wire attached to the catwalk in WLH 2001. The instructor stands with her back to the chalkboard, holding the ball to her nose. The ball is released (be careful not to impart any additional force) and swings back into nearly the starting position.
Sometimes it is more fun to talk a student into performing the demo!
NOTE: This demo, due to the long length of the pendulum, can only be performed in WLH 2001.
